Elaine Webster

Freelance writer, Elaine Webster, was born in New York City and has lived throughout the United States, finally settling in the Sonoma County wine region of California.

“There is no place on earth like Northern California. We have the best of all worlds. Good wine, good food, culture, art and vast expanses of rural landscapes, plus a true sense of community,” she says. It is this feeling of community that fits with her role as staff writer for the online publication, Greener Living Today ( “Northern California has been described as one of the greenest places on earth,” referring to the strong environmental movement, “and the world is watching.”

Elaine specializes in green product, book and movie reviews. She recently published “Jesse’s Tale: Overcoming Fear Aggression and Separation Anxiety in an Adopted Greyhound” .  Her memoir of the nineteen seventies, “Balanced on the Edge of the Crowd” is due out in 2011. She is also a regular contributor to Tiny Lights, a journal of personal narrative, and is an active member of Redwood Writers, the Redwood Branch of California Writers Club .
